Insurance
We accept most traditional insurance plans, including Delta Dental and Cigna. Contact our office to verify acceptance of your plan. We do not participate in Health Management Organizations (HMO); however, we will be happy to file your insurance claims for you. We accept cash, checks, or all major credit cards. We also accept flexible spending accounts (FSAs) and offer affordable financing options through CareCredit®.
Billing
We accept checks, cash or credit cards. We also offer a flexible payment plan. Please see our financial coordinator for details. We are happy to file insurance for your reimbursement as long as you are free to choose your own dentist.
Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
A health flexible spending account (FSA) might be part of your employer’s benefits package. A FSA lets you use pre-tax dollars to pay for eligible health care expenses for you, your spouse, and your eligible dependents. Eligible FSA expenses are those that you pay for out of your pocket for eligible dental and medical care.
Types of FSAs
There are three main types of FSAs. Take a look below to learn about the different types of FSAs and their limitations*.
Use-it-or-lose-it FSA: A run-out period is a pre-determined time frame after the plan year ends. During the run-out period, you may file both health FSA and dependent care FSA claims for expenses incurred during the plan year. IRS rules state that when the run-out period is over, you forfeit any unused funds – unless your health FSA has a carryover feature
- Grace period FSA: Your plan may include a grace period extension. During this time frame, you may incur eligible FSA expenses and use the funds remaining in your account to cover those expenses. The grace period begins on the first day immediately following the last day of the plan year. In most cases, it ends two months and 15 days later.
- Carryover FSA: With a carryover, you do not have to rush to spend all of your health FSA funds or worry about losing money when the plan year ends. It gives you even more control over your health care dollars from year to year.
Not all FSA plans include the features noted above.
*You should check with your employer to find out if your plan includes a FSA carryover, a grace period extension, or a run-out period. Also, verify the time limit for incurring eligible FSA expenses and filing claims under your plan.
